Poland is among the leaders in the Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) region in terms of investment in IT solutions, including cloud computing and mobile technologies. According to an IDC report, the value of the Polish IT services market in 2023 reached $4.3 billion, representing a 6% increase compared to 2022. Forecasts for 2023–2025 predict further growth at an average annual rate of 5%, reaching $5 billion in 2025. Currently, the IT sector employs 180,000 people, of whom 70,000 work in large service companies. The share of software and IT services in the entire IT market in Poland is 32%, while globally, it is 2%. Over 68% of IT sector employees in Poland work for companies with foreign capital.

IT companies in Poland primarily serve clients from Western Europe (78%) and local business clients (72%). More than half provide services to clients in North America and Central and Eastern Europe. Innovative solutions in Polish IT, such as enterprise system integration, generate significant profits with low investment risk.

Enterprise Digitalization

The development of IT technology in Poland indicates a growing demand for specialists in Big Data, mobile services, and SAP. In 2023, the implementation of cashless systems in public administration accelerated significantly, and the Integrated State Informatization Program (PZIP) was a key step in digitizing organizational structures. Thanks to digital technologies, public administration is improving the efficiency and consistency of services for citizens.

Cloud Solutions

The Polish cloud computing market is growing dynamically—by 2024, the sector’s value exceeded $2 billion, marking a 20% increase compared to 2023. 95% of large IT companies plan further investments in cloud computing and the Internet of Things (IoT), which contribute to the implementation of innovative services. SaaS (Software as a Service) platforms are becoming increasingly popular due to their flexibility and low implementation costs.

IT Outsourcing

Poland remains a leader in the IT outsourcing sector in Central and Eastern Europe. In 2023, the outsourcing market in Poland recorded a 15% increase in value, and the number of companies providing these services nearly doubled over the past five years. Key services include IT support, infrastructure management, and cloud services. According to an ABSL report, Polish IT companies provide comprehensive support to global clients, further strengthening their market position.
